1. Application Forms
Parents are to complete and submit a "Student Registration Form" for each child. A non-refundable application fee of $100 must accompany this application.
Before your child enters school, we will need a Notarized Emergency form, a signed Certificate of Immunization Status, the Family/Medical Information sheet and the Pickup Authorization Form. To access these forms, click here.
2. School Visit
All families are invited to tour the school and talk informally with the admissions staff. Our Director will give you a tour of our facility and get to know your individual interests and expectations.
Preschool applicants will participate in a play date with other preschool children. Screenings last approximately 20 minutes. Testing is mandatory for all students entering nursery.
This phase occurs after all parts of the application have been received and the student and family visits are completed. Families are kept up to date on the status of each application, especially if teacher recommendations or school records have not been received. For each applicant, the Director meets with the faculty members who observed the student. The completed application is then discussed with the Admissions Committee.
If you need assistance in completing the application, or for any other information, please call the office.
It is the policy of Gan Chabad Preschool not to discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, or physical or mental disabilities unrelated to the ability to work or enjoy the benefits of the school’s programs, facilities, or services. Admission to the school is based upon each student’s academic records, personal interviews, observations by our faculty, parent essay questions, teacher recommendations and our admissions testing.
P.S. Please note: Along with HBHA and other Jewish preschools in the area, we will not accept any vaccination waivers from families for religious or philosophical reasons.
This will apply to all current and incoming Gan Chabad families. Proof of immunization must be submitted by August 15, 2021.
The only possible exception to this policy would be a medical waiver for vaccines that raise potential issues for a specific child. In the rare instance of a medical exception, Gan Chabad administration will review the merit of the medical waiver on a case-by-case basis.
I am pleased that you are considering Gan Chabad Preschool to meet the early childhood education needs for your child. Choosing a school that supports Jewish values and teachings is one of the most significant decisions your family will ever make. I am confident that you will be pleased with the quality and dedication of our staff, the curriculum, and our outstanding facilities.
Gan Chabad Preschool welcomes families from all walks of life to its preschool. Please read on below for more on the admissions process.
